2018 377 MBC Features and Options
This Palomino Columbus Compass Series fifth wheel model 377MBC has space for everyone, and all the amenities of home to enjoy in the location of your choice! This unit features a rear living area including a fireplace, a convenient kitchen island, a loft above a second bedroom or den area, and a private master bedroom, plus more!
Step inside and head up the two steps on your right. There is a ladder in the hall that leads up to the loft space above the center bedroom/den area. The first door beyond the ladder is to a complete bath which includes a walk-in shower with dome, sink with medicine cabinet, toilet, and linen closet.
The front master bedroom is at the head of the hall and offers a spacious retreat including a queen or optional king slide out bed with a night shelf on either side, a dresser with TV box above opposite, and a front wall closet with linen storage, shoe storage, drawers, and a shelf.
Back down to the main entry door find a closet opposite the door along side of a storage hutch. There is a slide out dining table with four chairs, and theater seating for two with overhead cabinets. Along the rear wall enjoy a comfortable sofa with overhead cabinets and end tables. Here you can relax and enjoy the entertainment center found in the adjacent slide out along the road side that also features the kitchen appliances as well.
Cooking will be easy in this Compass kitchen featuring a refrigerator, a three burner range with overhead microwave oven, and walk-in pantry. There is also a center island with a large kitchen sink and more storage.
The center second bedroom or den area features a slide out 72" jack knife sofa with flip up bunk above. There is an entertainment center, and closet opposite along with wardrobe storage. The loft above is accessible from the ladder in the front hallway, plus so much more!

Palomino Camping Trailer construction began in 1968 with the dream of Mr. Vern Landey. Mr. Landey had been a tent trailer distributor for several years when he felt he could design and produce better quality units than were currently being offered to the public. He would design units which were lightweight and offered convenient floorplans at affordable prices. He began designing and producing Palomino pop-up tent trailers in a small building in Savage, Minnesota.
As demand for the Palomino grew, Mr. Landey felt it would benefit his company, Vanguard Ind., to relocate. With most manufacturers and industry suppliers located in the Elkhart, In. area the move eastward seemed logical. Vanguard Industries settled in the community of Colon in 1972. Once in Colon he began to put his plans in motion. By 1973 he had built the main production facility and within days Palomino tent trailers were rolling out the doors.
In 1976, Vanguard added its own Needle Division, in 1978 its own Metal Fabrication Plant, and has several cold storage facilities. On May 27, 1992, the primary production building and offices were destroyed by fire. By late August, 1992, the first 1993 model Palomino rolled of the line in the new 52,300 sq. ft. facility, which was built on the same site as the previous building had been.
The year 1998 continued to see expansion with the addition of a new 75,000 sq. ft. production facility, and another storage facility. In 2002 Vanguard was purchased by Forest River, Inc. This allowed for rapid growth and the introduction of two new towable lines of travel trailers and fifth wheels, Puma and Sabre by Palomino.
